Brett Favre's stats are better, Brett Farve took a team that wasn;t good at all tot he superbowl and won, Brett Farve is fans man he was a normal person that happen to be the best ever at throwing the football..

Brett doubles montana in touchdowns, everyone will talk about brett farves interceptions but brett had 442 touchdowns and 288 picks while montana had 273 tds and 139 picks. the touchdown to pick difference isnt that much different.

wait...what? I hope you are kidding, because that Packers team was absolutely dominant. They had a HOFer RDE playing at a very high level (2 sacks on bledsoe in the game), Sean Jones who was constantly around 8 and 10 sacks per year, very strong linebacking corps. couple that with two of the most effective TE's in football running the seam in Jackson (slow but had hands) and Chumura who did it all. If Chumura hadn't messed up with that girl in Waukesha he'd be mentioned just below the great Shannon Sharpe in terms of great TE's in modern football.

They had Robert Brooks and a couple other good to great hands guys at WR. Their offensive line was dominant, as usual. I love how people always say it was always favre taking these teams where they went. The Packers blood line is their line play. They are always near the top in the league in terms of talent.

Favre won one super bowl, he lost another and hadn't returned to the big game since 1997. Their 2001 and 2002 squads were probably even better than their 1996 squad but favre and the defense laid an egg with Favre throwing the ball straight up in the air in over time for Dawkins and the famous 4th and 26 play.

Favre was good, probably great but he was not nearly as clutch as some of those QB's on that list. If he was, he'd have beatin the Giants at the end of the 4th or when they received the kick in overtime.

I loved watching him play, great guy, did a lot for the game but given the choice I'd take Montana, P Manning, Brady, Young, Marino, Unitas or Namath ahead of him. JMO.

didn't namath only complete 50% of his passes? how many titles did Marino win? None of those guys are proven winners, packer fans take favre for granted, we'll see how it goes without him very soon.

If the packers get favre back, they will be in the super bowl. Trust me.

agreed. Favre has been great in his career but that was back when he was in his 20's. Since then he has been all but above average, very tough and on very solid teams. If that screams HOF, then he's HOF, otherwise i don't know what all the fuss is about.

hopefully after all of this some packer fans will come down to earth and see that Brett has acted like a spoiled diva for the past few years. But this is Wisconsin the state of blind-faith people, so no matter what he says he'll probably still be idolized.

He has given us fans a lot, but the fans have given a lot to him too. Maybe he should take a few minutes to come to that realization.
