Fans of Brett, Not GB

It's starting to bother me a bit. On the radio, TV or in the general news they are forever asking fans of their interest level in the Packers and of course, the Jets. Never have i ever heard the any news outlet mention the New York Jets this early in the season in Wisconsin. All these so called "die hard" Packer fans are streaming out of the closet as only Brett Favre fans. WTF?

Jets fans got cruicified for being Pennington fans above Jets fans and it is probably worse in Green Bay, relating to favre clearly.

All the fans are asking for more and more Jets coverage, so now if i go out to a bar to catch a jets game, i'm going to be sitting amongst these rich scrubs (seems to be the demographic, IMO) that are just chearing on old Brett. I mean, screw the packers, Brett and his beauty queen antics far superseed any team loyalty that may exist.

Give me a break Wisconsin, go back to being Packer fans. Forget about the Jets already.

yea well favre has been the face of WI and GB football for 17 years now so it probably be hard for fans to just let him go.

still shallow to not enjoy watching the team anymore because of one player. WHich is what i have been hearing on the raido and news.

i enjoy watching the packers play even if they do get rocked by the 49rs, but i also like watching favre performe well in NY

Yeah. Tommy was saying he's going to follow Favre, but he was looking forward to having 2 teams to watch this year (meaning he's still a Packers fan). I'm kind of looking forward to being able to watch the Packers for the first time in a long time.

have you seriously never seen a GB game? and now your watching since favre left? you should have seen some of the game last year that he played in. he made some great plays

he doesn't like the favre ball washing and his interceptions. Funny though, he doesn't seem to mind Kitna. Laughing

i guess he likes to see kitna getting sacked 10+ times a game and losing everygame (including 2 last season to GB). i enjoyed that.

Yes Kitna throws about as many interceptions as Favre, and he isn't considered the greatest that ever played. Weird.

Pretty sure people forget about the interceptions more than I forget about his other accomplishments. I'm curious to see where Favre ranks in losses...something to look into tonight. I doubt he's in the top 10, but he may be close.

Doubtful. He has had one losing season and one 8 and 8 season in 17 seasons. Sorry, but that is pretty good no matter how you slice it.

it's just funny about this guy, people overly praise him (which i find annoying) and overly crisize (which i find annoying). He's just a good QB, one of the better ones the league has seen.
