pineapple express was lame. yea it had it's moments but nothing special. it was slow and stupid at some parts

And yes, go see Tropic Thunder (HILARIOUS), but I can't speak for Pineapple Express...haven't seen it yet.

A lot of that going around with that director. He seems sort of hit or miss. I have liked most of his stuff but you could say "slow and stupid" in almost all of his movies.

I wouldn't ask Booba for movie reviews. He usually falls asleep half way through. But if you are only wondering about the first half of the movie, he is the guy to talk to.

Drago, Pineapple Express reminded me of many times at Luke's. I think you'd like it. I thought it was pretty well done for what they had. James Franco plays the best role I've ever seen him play.

Seth Rogen was asked what the inspiration was for this movie? The idea, Seth said, came from the question 'what movie would I want to watch? Well, that movie has weed in it, machine guns, comedy, and men telling one another that they've hurt each other's feelings'. I'm going to have to agree with all of this. This movie, like all ?best friend comedy movies', is just a romantic comedy, except switch out sexual tension for friendship tension (sounds weird, but think about it for a minute). Things start off great, they have fun together, then tension and drama pulls them apart, ending with glorious bff re-unition in the end. It plays out really well, because Franco and Rogen are awesome on the screen together.

The mix between light hearted weed comedy and intense action dark comedy is a little offsetting at first, but the movie stays true.

Go see it and laugh my friend.

dir. Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Millions)
act. Cillian Murphy, Michelle Yeow, Chris Evans, etc.

Excellent science fiction movie about a group of people traveling to the dying sun and trying to restart it. I realize the premise sounds stupid and cliched but the execution is amazing. All of the actors in the film do a great job, the visual effects are extremely fluid, and it boasts what I consider the 2nd best movie score in over a decade, being beaten out only by Requiem for a Dream. Some people have complained about the last quarter of the movie, but I can't say anything without giving away some details. All I can say is that I didn't mind, and that the movie overall is great and I'd highly recommend it.

cillian murphy loves boyle. i think it's interesting certain directors always go after certain actors. Make sense with the working relationship and everything.

Spielberg/Hanks - Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can, crap load where they produced together.
Scorsese/De Niro - Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Casino, Cape Fear, and a couple others.
Scorsese/Dicaprio - Aviator, Departed, Gangs of New York, Shutter Island
Soderbergh/Clooney - Oceans Trilogy, Out of Sight, Solaris, Good German, and a crap load where they produced together.

I guess if you know it works stick with it
