They should never have traded Clinton Portis? Are you nuts? Running backs are a dime a dozen, you can find them in the 1st round or the last round and get a solid player. Stud corner backs are one of the hardest positions to fill, next to QB.

Them landing Bailey was the biggest coups of a trade the NFL has seen in over 10 years.

To answer your question of who their primary back will be, it's going to be Selvin Young. He almost ran for 1000 yards as a secondary and/or third down back. They have also released Travis Henry.

The Broncos find running backs all over the place, the key to their success, or lack there of as of late, is their zone blocking scheme with light and athletic linemen. As long as that never changes, they will never need to have an elite running back.

In my opinion Terrell Davis never should have gotten old.

Looks like they're putting their eggs in the Selvin Young basket.

Dammit Ollie beat me to it.

ohh ollie octon Evil or Very Mad ........ yea champ bailey is beast but he didn't do much for them last season besides being injured. him and bly both were injured for most of last year. clinton portis is like a joseph addi or whoever is on the colts. he can run with the ball and be a receiver at the same time

I love the Addai supporters. Do you realize that some teams can just insert any running back they want and get solid production?

Perhaps there is a reason that Dominick Rhodes averaged 4.2 YPC with Indy and couldn't find playing time with Oakland, but when he did he averaged a shade above 3 YPC? I for one, am not under the impression that Rhodes suddenly got over a full YPC worse over the course of one season.

Corner backs are only as good as their pass rush. Quick, name me one defensive linemen on the 07 Broncos...............

I rest my case.

yea your definetely wrong. DBs aren't only as good as their pass rush... look at champ bailey.... he got amazing not because of his pass rush but because of his talent. same goes with ty law when he was on the pats. now he sucked it up though on the jets. chris mcalister on the ravens. their pass rush sucked a fat one

I'm confused? If you are trying to prove my point, I appreciate it. Champ was great with the Skins because he is great and the pass rush was also solid with Kirkland and company. McAllister is great because of a steller pass rush and he himself is also very good.

Same with Surtain and Madison, both studs when playing with Jason Taylor and nobodies without him, not too mention they are just old now.

So tell me again, how good was Champ last year?

Not sure I'd be ready to give Young the full time load. Isn't the guy about 5'8" 200 pounds? You're going to need something else.

Maybe if they had drafted Maurice Clarrett. oh wait! they did! lol
