I saw that on animal planet. Nice vid, crazy that the lion remembered them.

Can you imagine seeing a 600 lb lion running at you and you aren't sure it remembers you?

I'd heard of this but never saw the video. It brings two questions to mind:
1-The video says they had to get rid of the lion when it got too big...what the hell did they think was going to happen? Getting a lion for a pet seems like something a stupid college kid would do to get girls. Maybe those guys were zookeepers or something?
2-How did they train the lion to fend for itself in the wild? I'm surprised it could master the necessary skills.

I was waiting for the attack. It was a nice video, but an attack by the lion to it's previous owners for leaving him because he grew up would have been much more satisfying.
