If I'm following her argument correctly here... we did bad but they did worse!!! I don't understand how she rationalizes any sort of torture. Anyways, if there are any republicans out there who agree with her rant, and who think that President Bush has "protected" us for the last 8 years (instead of alienating the entire middle east against us), please post!

I think he definately alienated us, picking wars with random countries isn't generally the way to make friends. JMO

I don't know if you read the article or not but she mentions that democrats have blown up the whole torture issue, and then she said that during wwII japan did much worse to americans.

I can't decide whether Coulter is batshit crazy, or if she is just a complete sell-out and knows that saying that stuff will get ratings. The things that come out of her mouth are frequently incoherent strings of right wing talking points, which makes me think she's just pandering for the money. As Deutsch said on his show 'The Big Idea' after she made her comment about Jews and Christians, You're too smart to believe what you just said. You can't actually think that.

In my mind, there are no shades of grey for torture. It's something that a civilized society doesn't do. Now that I've heard plenty of military and intelligence experts - as well as combat veterans - say that torture is ineffective at best and dangerous to our soldiers and society and worst, I am convinced there isn't another side to the issue.

Another reason to vote John Stewart in 2012.
