Madden Help Empty Madden Help

Post by RCBooba Fri Jan 09, 2009 11:41 pm

Hey kids,

need a little help with Madden. The game is really starting to irritate me.

- what's a good defense to stop a wide receiver screen?
- what's a good defense to stop a regular screen pass?
- what's the best way to stop a big-play receiver (Moss, Owens) other then blitzing the quarterback?
- best run defense?
- good offense to avoid the sack?

I know...I suck

Good luck stopping moss and owens...that's my secret play...luck...

wide receiver screen is virtually impossible to run against press man coverage or a zone where the corner stays in the flat.

run defense = the bear/46. Better yet...and if you use this on me, i'll kill you, put one or two of your down linemen in "qb spy". That way, when the offensive line charges your linemen in an effort to block, your guys stand up straight and the blockers tend to go right past them. Works like a charm.

avoid the sack? keep a TE in to block, roll out towards his side.

Thanks for the tips, Carter. I'm getting frustrated with a lot of these games. The people I play against use wide receiver screens all the fricken time and it's annoying as hell. And yeah, the Moss/Owens situation is ridiculous. Ah well. We need to play a game or two again...for old time's sake Smile

In the newer games, you can audible protection to one side or the other. I'd suggest you do that, it's really effective and you can generally guess where the blitz is coming from.

i've tried that a couple of times. it was pretty effective but it's harder to guess against the computer since it is both brilliant and stupid at the same time.

aggrivating.
