Palin
Got this email:
As some of you know, I work with autistic children and really hope she does not make it into office.
Palin gave a policy talk in which she ridiculed fruit fly research... which
is of course provided foundation of modern genetics. Now this does not
really surprise me for a creationist, but it does not bode well for science
funding should they get elected.
This has a clip:
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/10/24/palin-fruit-flies/
“…sometimes these dollars go to projects that have little or nothing to do
with the public good. Things like fruit fly research in Paris, France. I kid
you not.”
The irony is that some of this research on fruit flies has actually been
used to help understand autism, which was what her talk was actually on.
As some of you know, I work with autistic children and really hope she does not make it into office.

Re: Palin
I was sort of watching a CNN clip against Palin. Stating how her campaign has had to cover up the fact that she has almost no clue on major political issues.
she scares the crap out of me.

Re: Palin
Correct me if I'm wrong but; I get the feeling they took Palin because she is a woman and they are going against a black man. It's almost like they didn't want the democrats to have a rallying cry of being "forward" or "progressive", so they choose to make a bit of history themselves.
Problem is, she is so stupid it makes them look like fools.

When we were flying into Detroit CNN had news from a Mccain aide that said Palin was being somewhat of a wildcard and hard to control. After we got back I read in a newspaper that Palin might be setting herself up to run for President in '012. Scary? .. yeah

Re: Palin
I saw that as well, she said "im not doing this for nothing" or something like that. She also said her campaign hates labels and she doesnt want to be labeled as a feminist, then they showed another interview a while back where she goes, Oh im definitly a feminist. If she gets into the whitehouse im moving to australia.

Today I read in the paper that if Mccain loses the republican party is going to be looking for a scapegoat. Guess who they are currently looking at for that position. I think it's so hypocritical of their party to try a gimmick move and then blame the person THEY chose. If they had selected someone who had a decent background in government they would be running close to Obama. Right now it looks like Obama is going to rape some face.
Who knows if the polls are right.

Re: Palin
Wasn't kerry winning the polls by a wide margin going into the last election? When i first looked at the actual polls i was stunned to see Bush cleaning up, despite everything he got us into.
