Quick Scouting Report on Mukwonago Players
Cody Groh, #7 – Senior Central Midfielder - Strong player makes hard runs and is good at playing with a defender on his back. Pretty physical with average speed but makes the most of both.
Michael Pirlott, #12 – Team Captain, Senior Center Defender – Solid feet, plays very simple in the back utilizing both feet. He has a big frame, about 6’2” 165 pounds and uses this to keep defenders at bay while he releases the ball. He is clearly the team leader and the team’s best defender; more than likely is the team’s best all around player as well. Sometimes has the propensity to hold the ball too long, it was not a huge problem against Madison East but with enough opportunities, he will lose a couple that could turn into goals.
Noah Bularz, #16 – Junior Outside Defender - Very strong left foot and a quality ball handler. Is an ideal outside defender because of his ability to send a 30 or 40 yard ball to the back post for their on running forwards. He was responsible for East’s second goal when he got stripped by Matheus Ribeira (#8). Despite that mistake, he was a very effective player throughout the match.
Michael Schlect, #2 – Junior Forward – Has the tendancy to run away from the ball. When he is involved in the play it is hard to tell what he will do. Half the time he dribbles himself into a tackle, in the other half of his plays he will put together nice sequences with his fellow attackers. He may be a player to watch as the season continues. He scored the final two goals, the equalizer and the game winner, in the last minutes of the Madison East match.
Aaron Sirko, #4 – Junior Right Outside Defender – May have been filling in due to injury, look to exploit him if he is starting or playing in future games. He is a weak tackler and had almost as many turnovers as he had possessions.
Austin Zimmerman, #19 – Sophomore Forward – Hard worker but lacks any real ball skill. He is an effective player in Mukwonago’s scheme since they play a lot of long ball and he is a hustler. Don’t expect him to be an impact player until he gets older.
