i find it very surprising that of all the indoor leagues i have played in this year the one that gets ridiculously out of hand the most is the one that should be the most composed.

The confusing part for me is the fact that both games got out of hand because of fouls, when the sportclub D fouled us constantly... A weird double standard.

I do expect a team that is up 6 (or 12 goals in bavarians case) to be a little more flexible when it comes to fouls (fouling or being fouled).

I don't get it either. Schultz pointed out the fouling that they did when we mounted attacks. I understand it is how the game is played, to an extent, but the refs need to see that with a keen eye. I'm not saying anything against Mr. Jovic or Doug Haag (the other ref), because i think they are both very good. I guess i'm just surprised they let things go as they did. Maybe it was an off night? maybe i'm just wrong...

The Sport Club coach is just a joke. Shoving Garrett on the field, what a putz.

so here is the deal... it doesn't say in the rules that fighting (or punches) will result in expulsion from the league... litterally the max penalty that can be imposed by the league is the 2 game red card suspension.

The club has the option to punish the player but we know how likely that is since the coach wanted to sit on ewald and sumo wrestle drago.

Going the legal route would result in the guy being arrested (handcuffs, miranda rights, finger prints, etc.) and having to post bail or spend time in jail. I still don't know the WI laws but IL laws are misdemeanor for a general punch/scuffle but a situation where a person was knocked unconcious would be a felony.

You guys could use that as leverage if you want to pressure the team/league to suspend the guy for the rest of the season but I don't want to send anyone to jail. I'd rather settle it on the field ewald style.

My dad told me that more than likely the guy that punched our guy is going to get a 3 game suspension (that's what he was going to personally recommend). he thought he had the game under control and was surprised that it got so out of hand at the end. (Haag needs to learn to get out of the way more often). **** even I was surprised, for winning by 5 you think they'd let up on the shitty fouls. Everyone knows what we do when shitty fouls are done on us.

And Dave (AKA Santa Claus) said to me after the game that he wasn't instigating anything, but when Drago and Garret came up in his face he got defensive.

OMG whatev, lol.

And I want to forget Sunday's game....forever. (me personally)

I'm pretty sure he offered to fight both Matt and Garrett, while pushing Garrett and grabbing Matt's shirt (Garrett on the field and Matt walking away from the field). I'm not sure how defensible the decision to punch a player in the face is.

However, after thinking about this tonight at work...I can understand the guys reaction. Being pushed face first into the boards could have caused a serious injury. I remember Mobley talking about choking a guy (in an indoor game) after he slammed him into the boards trying to hurt him.

I wish the foul hadn't had happened with 5 seconds left. I also wish the guy wasn't 6'5" so we all could have started swinging.

That being said... lets clean up our game. Matt and I started this by ****ing with the Bavarians and douschbag Pep. I thought up until the end of the game on Saturday we didn't dish out any bad fouls. We got fouled hard a lot, but we didn't retaliate (This made me happy on the inside).

I think we were able to move the ball against Sportsclub because they played a much more relaxed defense compared to the Bavarians. We also moved more off the ball / had better touches against Sportsclub. I know Matt doesn't like this league because of the high levels of douschbaggery and tools from the Majors that play in it. But I really want our team to be able to compete (at least not get blown out by them). I'm hoping that this is the direction our team is heading.

tldr; getting hit makes people angry - I understand why he swung - Sportsclub game > Bavarian game - I want to play Majors and be a huge dousch

Good points schultz. I really don't want to be known as that dirt ball team...although their have been 3 reds against teams we played in two games now but some of that was brought on by us.

I don't think we need to tone it down, just play better soccer and not so much mind game stuff.
