After day delay, NASA fuels Endeavour for launch

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – NASA has begun fueling space shuttle Endeavour after delaying its scheduled launch for a day because lightning struck 11 times near the pad.

Endeavour had been scheduled for liftoff Saturday night, but a severe lightning storm at the pad Friday raised concerns that some critical systems might have been damaged.

However, the weather was looking better Sunday. NASA says there is only a 30 percent chance that weather will delay Sunday's 7:13 p.m. launch.

NASA spokesman Allard Beutel says overnight checks found no lightning problems that would stall the launch.

Hm, who thinks that this is a bad idea?

That's messed up. I didn't realize lightening ever strikes in the same spot more than once. I don't think it's aliens...i think its god...he's angry at tictac for getting a second cat.

I don't believe in this god you speak of therefore I am immune to being hit by lightening. Also, the gods of egypt liked cats, so I'm probably on their good side Very Happy

I remember a day when you did not like cats. How is the old cross-eyes doing anyway? Kickin butt and taking names i suspect.

I like how franklin dominated Sammie..BTW...what a sissy.

I remember that day too Smile Luckily I have two cats that do the exact opposite of the cats I dislike. They do not run and hide under the bed.

Cross eyes is doing well, getting along more and more with Franklin, although he did try to bite his butt today. still not sure what to name him. Sammie was pretty scared of them. He was double teamed and did not like it.

Need to think of a name soon though...
