But I'm still curious on how the original concept would've been. I read on Wikipedia (so take it with a grain of salt) that the original concept for the movie Shawshank Redemption was going to not be directed by Frank Darabonte and that Tim Robbins' role was initially for Tom Cruise, and Morgan Freeman's role was for Harrison Ford. Trying to picture the movie with those two and I can't.

never seen it. heard it was really good. tom cruise is good in pretty much every movie though. i bet it would have been ok.
