Terrifying Hotels... Empty Terrifying Hotels...

Post by drago Mon Nov 17, 2008 10:15 am

So i am in Tennessee and was getting tired late last night and pulled over to this rather main stream hotel...i can't find the name of it in the room so whatever...

I walk up to the counter and they have one of those guards over what would be the front desk (sort of like the one in Snatch when they are robbing the Bookie). I stand there for a second wondering how i take out a room or if it was too late to do so. I say "Hello!?"...then this super creepy guy with blood shot eyes and a hunch back comes out of no where and says..."i need your ID"....i'm like...uhhh...i need a weapon...

ok i didn't say that but i seriously thought he had been feeding on some humans or something, so i was scared.

Anyway, the room number was 144...he tells me, second floor. Ok what? 144 is on the second floor? I ask him if he is sure, he says "second floor"...i head for the elevator and as i am getting on, i am wondering if he pulls the crap all the time and he just wants me in the elevator for some Silence of the Lambs style killing...so it's 2 am and i'm officially freaking myself out.

I get in my room/igloo and don't see any kind of heater but i could clearly see my breath. Pull back the covers and see, a sheet, a pillow and the worlds oldest down comforter. I go to bed with all of my clothes on because i was shivering like crazy but not before i locked the door with a dead bolt, the chain and highered a wolverine to stand guard.

Believe it or not, i actually slept pretty well and am all set to attack the south today with 12 hours of driving. Speaking of which...

WOW. That is crazy. Did the hunch-back really only give you short answers or did you fib a little in your creepy story? Were you by yourself? Sorry I didn't get to see you before you left! I will miss you! But will more than likely be talking with you here.

I think the weirdest thing was that the room number 144 was on the second floor. I mean does motel 6 get to make up its own rules of how this world operates? what's next, they'll tell us all dogs must walk backwards? It's crap is what it is.
