Fav horror flick & why
The Shining- It isn't about gore, it scares more with suspense and warps your mind. I also think Jack Nicholson was fantastic. Oh yeah, and I love movies having to do with hauntings....or pretty much anything to do with hauntings. That movie used to scare me during the day.

I have 2. One is the Shining for many of the reasons you already gave. Jack Nicholson plays an amazing crazy man. I get freaked when he starts cackling into the mirror behind the bar (facing towards the viewer). And every time I go to a hotel I expect to see a set of twin girls standing at the other end of the hall. The other is High Tension, just because it is really well done and the ending is perfect.

what was the ending in high tension again? aside from the killer being shown and all...?
Re: Fav horror flick & why
Well I can't put it here since some people haven't seen it. I'll tell you later

I like the Saw movies to a degree. At least you know what you are getting when you sit down and watch one. Generally, I have no feeling after watching a horror movie because they are so dumb.
I saw Scream the other day as well. That is a pretty twisted ending with the two guy stabbing each other trying to make it look like they did not do it. Pretty sick.
Entertaining though.

Isn't high tension the one we watched? That wasn't scary. It was pretty good, but not scary. Yeah, I jumped, but I wasn't freaked after I saw it.

I absolutely love horror movies. The Shining is a very good one. But my all time favorite is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Its a classic from where the gore, guts, and blood began for the horror movies of today. But I love all horrors no matter how cheesy, seeing as I love the Nightmare on Elm Street Series mostly for the comedic aspect.

what do horror fans think of Scream? I'm not into the horror genre so much, mainly because i'm a sissy girl, but i like the first one.

I liked the twists and how it made you think trying to figure it out. Also the jump out of your seat affect was pretty good. But to actually be a good horror in my book there needs to be a little more blood, I see this more as a Thriller flick. But in the same affect it is scary. Proof:
My sister and her friend abby went to see Scream in the theatres and they were so scared when they got back to my parents house no one was home and they were so scared to just get inside they quick ran out together and when they got to the door my sister realized she left the car running with the keys in it. The best part is that she locked the car doors. So they not only couldnt get into the house or the car. This was back in the day so neither had a cell phone and had to sit outside till my parents got home.
