In for both.

We should all agree on a shorts/socks combo for the rest of the season. I'd say black and black because everyone should have those.

In for both...not a fan of the black/black thing though, but will stop at Stefans. Will we be using any other combinations so I can make sure I'm covered?

We don't have to do black and black I just figured everyone would have those.

And is the Saturday game at 1230 too?

Powder, go with black and white socks. We'll try to stick with black shorts. Most people have that i think.

Maybe everyone could bring both black and white...first choice being black but we'll see what people have on Saturday. I like the color scheme, will make us look less thugish...which is hard to do.

Someone find this guys info, we need him as our new intimidator.

Wow, that's sad...

I vote for black shorts, white socks... I think white is a more common soccer sock color than black.

I should be in for Saturdays game, and WILL be in for Sunday's game. Also, my dad and brother will be reffing our Sunday game, so I can personally affirm that we will have at LEAST 2 refs at Sunday's game.

Thanks Seybold.

-----------Derek told me that the Croations have an open play on tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 (obviously under the lights). It's free to anyone that wants to play and they could always use the numbers.

I can't make it due to Carroll but if you guys wanted to go, it would be a great way to get some touches and conditioning.

The Croatian Training is Tue/Thur 8-9:30 pm.

The training generally has 18-20 players, it is reserve, majors, etc.

It is definetly worth the trip & time.

For the sake of discussion, what do we think about black shorts with white stripes? Should they be above the knee or below?

Do you go to those sessions? I'd like for our team to make it to a few, a lot of us, including me, need the work.

definitely hooters shorts ... and tights ... ya know what, lets just go to Hooters and ask them if they'll play for us. They cant do any worse, and it would be way cooler to watch than Drago's fat ass dancing over the ball.

PS: I'm not so free this weekend, I'll let ya know later.

I do attend the trainings on Thur night, Tue the numbers are generally lower. If you plan on attending arrive by 7:45 and the training is 8-9:30pm. It is not just a glorified scrimmage; the training is pretty intense and played at a pretty high level but worth the trip. The training is run by the majors & reserve coaches and generally includes warm up, 8v8 or 9v9 with small goals/goal (depending on gk), limit touches, etc.

It is a training for the Majors/reserve players but we do have guys from outside the club that attend.

I went to the training yesterday, and it ended up being a practice for the 1st division team. I felt a little out of place/ackward because I felt like I was just stumbling in on a practice. We warmed up for about 5 minutes and then play short-sized games to goal. The only problem, however, was that many of the guys enjoyed playing kick-and-run with a little bit of shoot-from-anywhere. It got old quick when I would make a run for someone and they rather dribble the ball into two/three guys. The people I played with ended up yelling and getting angry and the people making mistakes rather than helping people learn. I wouldn't say it was crisp soccer by any means, but take it at face value: it is a workout with people who at least have a knowledge of the game.

Also, I'll be in for Saturday's game as well now Drago.

In for Sunday, I'll try and work on Saturday but I told you before to schedule it for 2:30PM'ish if you want a keeper that can definitely be there. Even if you could get it moved to 1:30 would be a lot better since I'll be coming from 124th and Capitol. Tell them they owe you for having to reschedule so they can push it back a little to accomodate us a bit too.

I wish i could but they only had a couple time slots open. The other slots were during the week and we really struggle getting anybody there on those days. Sorry Thorne, i looked at their whole schedule (all of four slots) and there just weren't better options.

That game was a lot of fun. I have to say, I have never been apart of a midfield that did such a great job marking. In fact, i don't know that i have ever played on a defense that had a midfield mark so well. Telizczek, Lovejoy and Stoy were all over their center mids. Rarely did they get a free yard, let alone any kind of fast break where they drew our backs. Great job in that realm.

As i said after the game, Garrett gets the game ball (if we had one to spare...err, if we had a ball at all that wasn't Kalman's). You played an awesome game with too great preformances from your outside backs, mostly Demers and Seybold. Seybold was a nice surprise, i never excpected you to play a new position so damn well. Get used to it, you'll be there next week.

Oh yeah, and if Alvin wants to do this whole "Scoring goals" thing...he's going to need to do it with bycicle kicks. No excuses Alvin, get it done. Wink
