Carroll U's Andy Prentice
Interview with Carroll's all-time leading scorere Andy Prentice:
Kim Deal - You are the leading goal scorer in Carroll history. Since getting the record, has this effected your play in a positive or negative way?
Andy Prentice - The record hasn't really had any effect on the way I play. I go out and just play the game I'm capable of playing. The record is something that I will think about when the season is done.
KD - This is your fourth consecutive trip to the Midwest Conference Tournament. How much has this experience helped you?
AP - I feel like I know what to expect, this being my fourth trip to the tournament. I am able to tell the younger guys on the team what they should expect. It is nice to have the past experience and feel prepared for what's to come.
KD - With Carroll being ranked 15th in the country, does this add pressure to your team's performance?
AP - Of course. We have everything to lose being ranked 15th in the nation, but going into this tournament we can't let rankings have an effect on our play. We need to go out and play the same game we've been playing all season no matter who our opponent is.
KD - Carroll has been playing a lot of freshmen lately. Do you have better rapport with some over others? How has the teams production been with the new players getting so much playing time?
AP - The new players had big shoes to fill coming into this season, but they have molded very well over the course of the season, as our record shows. We have not skipped a beat having freshman on the field.
KD - You are from the Green Bay area. Did you ever consider attending to St. Norbert?
AP - No. Carroll was the only soccer school I was intersted in.
KD - Do you have a prediction for tomorrow's match?
AP - 5-0.

Prediction doesn't look so good after the fact. Too bad we were down Hietpas, Carlson, Wickman, Klug, Johnson and pretty much anyone else with a pulse.

It's very strange to accumulate that amount of injuries. Carter didn't mention Hietpas and he told me they were missing some lesser known starters throughout the year as well. I don't have their names though.
