i don't know how you guys can do that. I am not a bad runner but when i run 4 miles i'm ready to never run again. I guess the sports i have interest in all have a ball as the purpose.

gotta get the ball.

My roommates just got done watching the ironman race in Madison. I didn't realize all that it involved. I guess you get to run a marathon....after biking over a hundred miles. Craziness. Drago if you ever kill yourself that's how you should go out.

Do they allow fat people in that race? I'm thinking I may want to partake.

For the ironman you are looking at a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run most winning times are just above 8 hours. So one can say it can get a little intense.

Do a sprint triathlon first to see if it's something you want to do.

Um, yeah we did a half marathon. I did pretty good, like 230 out of 4,000 or something crazy. I'm a toe runner (no heel striking) so I wasn't really able to walk for two days after. It's just one of those things, if you've been training and doing 3-4 miles a pop you should be fine. That's about what I was doing everyother day or so. I got passed by about 150 people in the last 4-5 miles, if you've been running longer distances than I was doing you should be in great shape for it.

I did a sprint triathlon about a month ago, and plan on doing another at the end of September. Depending on how my training goes over the winter I might try an Olympic Tri next summer. What was your time on the Half Marathon?

The only way we would be able to fairly compete would be to do one together, terrain and weather can play a big factor. I think my terrain will be pretty flat and weather is looking more like mid 60’s with 30% chance of rain. This is more comparing notes and styles.

Half marathon Drago, its all running, 13.1 miles. And yes there are styles to your running, stride, and breathing techniques. What type of splits you tend to take in the run. I have heard for some not doing a complete negative split, but breaking the race up in to two splits.

I ran a marathon when I was 19. It was 93 degrees by the time I finished. That was some pain.

I'm on a total smilie kick. They honestly rock my socks off. I need to find some more but i haven't really had time to fiddle lately. Soon though, soon booba, i will have every smilie that incapsulates your feelings.

You will be so happy.

A carrot isn't going to make you take one step. Maybe if you had a bowl of ramen with meatballs in it you might do it. Or a container of vanilla frosting.

We should set that rig up with Tictac but instead of putting the food in front of her, we put maggott infested meat behind her. She doesn't like meat as it is, I think she could set some records.

Gotcha. Still haven't a chance to talk to katie, but when we ran in madison it was rather hilly.

Madison is having another half marathon at the end of October. The North Face Endurance Challenge......I might be doing that one. It looks like it will be trails not on a road a bit different but I bet will be sweet.
