Rock and roll has also taken a turn for the worst but at least it isn't hate speech.

People are understandably upset by Sean Delonas's cartoon in today's New York Post.

The Huffington Post's version has 2000 comments. Al Sharpton says, "The cartoon in today's New York Post is troubling at best given the historic racist attacks of African-Americans as being synonymous with monkeys."

THE PROPOSAL

When a company falls on difficult times, one of the things that seems to happen is they reduce their staff and workers. The remaining workers need to find ways to continue to do a good job or risk that their job would be eliminated as well. Wall street, and the media normally congratulate the CEO for making this type of "tough decision", and his board of directors gives him a big bonus.

Many soldiers went beyond rape to disembowel women, slice off their breasts, nail them alive to walls. Fathers were forced to rape their daughters, and sons their mothers, as other family members watched. ...

Someone who loved Sean Taylor is crying right now. The life they knew has been destroyed, an 18-month-old baby lost her father, and, if you're a black man living in America, you've been reminded once again that your life is in constant jeopardy of violent death.

The Black KKK claimed another victim, a high-profile ...

and I'm here to offer my opinion on anything political. Or even anything that isn't political.

I'm hoping to start some good political discussions. There have already been a few, but it would be cool to have a new topic every few weeks and then we can weigh in on our different perspectives.

Is anyone up for this? And if so, what are the topics/subjects you want to discuss. I might write a short history (strictly factual) on each topic if people want a summary.
